Thoughts on tonight's Big Game

It's twelve o'clock noon as I sit here and write this. The big KU-MU border showdown is seven hours away. I never thought I would see such a game of this magnitude. But it's big. Wasn't it twenty years ago that both Kansas and Missouri were enduring 70-0 thumpings at the hands of Nebraska and Oklahoma. Wow, times have changed!!!

Even though I graduated from KU and have been impressed by KU's perfect start and the apparent lack of mistake-making on the field, I feel that Mizzou will win this game simply based on the fact that I think that I am very impressed by the Tigers' offense and kick returning abilities. KU, on the other hand, is capable of playing either an under 20 point game or an over 70 point game. (BTW, I think there will more than 70 points in this game.).
But for KU, I think I am waiting for the proverbial other shoe to drop and for them to make mistakes and for the Tigers to capitalize. Final score: MU 38, KU 31.

Sorry, KU friends but I'm not quite convinced that KU is the real deal.

Obviously, post-game thoughts to come from this '88 alum who only experienced mediocre football at best while he attended KU.
