A coincidence at Mt. Walker

One of the things I did while on the Olympic Peninsula was go on a hike at Mt. Walker, which is located near Quilcene, WA twenty-five miles south of Port Townsend and Fort Worden. At the trailhead, we bumped into a gentleman I sailed with at the San Juan Islands. He was climbing down from the top of the mountain whereas we were just starting. According to my uncle, this man is trying to keep in shape for a long hike with his daughter along the mountains that are the West Coast equivalent of the Appalachian trail.
